David Clarkson and Jeremy Gray formed the firm in 2006, with the clear intention of providing straightforward independent financial advice to private individuals and small businesses.
David and Jeremy have been involved in the financial services industry for the past 20 years, during which time they have witnessed a number of changes to legislation, procedures, regulators, insurance companies etc.
Despite all of these changes our belief is that honesty, integrity and customer service remain the foundation for a successful working relationship with you.
Making use of developments in technology to improve the services on offer, however still firmly believe that there is no substitute for face to face contact wherever possible.

Our administration is managed by Sandra Rush, who will probably be the first person you speak to when you call the office. Sandra has worked in the financial services industry for the past 20 years, the majority of which has been within the Independent Financial Advice sector
You may have heard that the Financial Services Authority has laid down plans to completely overhaul the financial sector over the next few years through its Retail Distribution Review. This will, undoubtedly, result in a dramatic reduction to the number of Independent Financial advisers (IFA) in the market. Mainly due to onerous requirements relating to financial solvency, professional qualifications, standards of service etc. Clarkson Gray are perfectly placed to embrace the changes being made, and advise you where appropriate.
Due to the constant change to regulations we made the decision, from day one, to employ our own Compliance Manager - Pat Alderson. Pat keeps us on our toes. Training issues, appraisal, customer service are all part of her remit.
